Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive location by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports and shift documentation and share information with incoming personnel.

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Alarm Response in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas, office spaces, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate relevant information to incoming personnel and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
