Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer driving operations in Normal, IL. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, prior alarm/panel and badge experience preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Schedule includes driving and shift flexibility with a compounding benefits program.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of automotive manufacturing, parking, shipping, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to alarm-related activity. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming, secure environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
