Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Normal, IL. The role involves patrolling an automotive location, ensuring safety, managing access, and delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will respond to incidents, document activities, and maintain logs while adhering to site procedures. A valid driver’s license is required and lifting up to 20 pounds may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; document activities and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, loading zones, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles per site policies.
• Complete reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document activities and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, loading zones, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site policies.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
