Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead assigned officers, ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors, and handle security incidents with proper documentation. The role supports the Security Manager with shift staffing, planning, and staff development.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience (or an Associate/Technical degree) and 1 year of security experience.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Serve as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Perform the duties of a security officer.
• Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards. Address escalated or unresolved issues.
• Assist the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Drivers License credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
• Law Enforcement obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Security Professional obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Security Guard specializing in Healthcare obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Justice obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Concealed Weapons License (CCW) to be obtained within 90 days (3 months) of hire date or job transfer date. All state CCWs are accepted with the exception of ME, NH, NJ, OR and VT.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience required.
