Job summary

Armorous in Santa Rosa is seeking a Security Officer for a housing and rehabilitation center. You will safeguard properties, deter crime, and help residents and staff feel safe, exercising vigilance and strong decision-making throughout your shift.

The role requires a valid BSIS Guard Card and the ability to stand for extended periods. Shifts run Friday through Tuesday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with a starting pay of $22.34 per hour plus a generous PTO plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS compliance (e.g., 8-hour Initial Training, 32-hour CE).
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergencies.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

• Security Officer for a housing and rehabilitaion center in Santa Rosa

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively.

About the Site This assignment is at a rehabilitation center. Officers are the steady, professional presence that helps residents and staff feel safe every day.

What You’ll Do

• Search residents as they enter the facility, following site procedures and treating everyone with respect
• Keep the site safe and secure throughout your shift
• Complete hourly tours of the property
• Fill out hourly activity logs accurately and on time

Shifts: Friday - - - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday - - - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sunday - - - 2:00 PM- - 10:00 PM

Tuesday - - - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Compensation:

$22.34 Per Hour PLUS a generous PTO Plan.

Security Guard Qualifications:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance
  • i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
  • 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
