Job summary

Armorous is seeking a Security Officer for a Business Park/Event Center to safeguard properties, deter crime, and ensure safety. You will conduct hourly tours, control access, and monitor entrances/exits, maintaining vigilance and strong communication.

Shifts run Wednesday through Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, with 24 hours per week plus opportunity for more shifts. Compensation is $21.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities at Armorous.

Qualifications

• Valid BSIS Guard Card is required.
• BSIS compliance with 8-hour initial training certificate and 32-hour CE certificates.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for conducting hourly tours, ensuring the premises is secure. Access control when checking in and out guests to property, and checking all entrances and exits.

Shifts:
Wednesday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Thursday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Friday - - - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
** 24 HPW + Opportunity for additional shifts! **

Compensation:

$21.00 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs and complete multiple walking patrols throughout shift,
  equalling out to multiple miles walked per shift.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
