Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This position may require driving as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate: $20.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day TimeWed 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and information as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities during emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Experience providing physical restraint is preferred.
• NC Security Professional Registration is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
