Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Hospital Access in Aiken, SC. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling hospital areas, maintaining access control, and ensuring safety through vigilant observation and quick response to incidents.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Shifts include Thu, Fri, and Sun evenings. The role requires a hospital-friendly approach, strong communication, and comfort working in a morgue environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors according to site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to identify and report unauthorized access or safety concerns.
• Document incidents and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access in Aiken, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist with morgue-related procedures. You will provide compassionate customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Job Schedule:

• Thur: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance involving patients, visitors, staff, and facility operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and potential security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
