Job summary

Allied Universal in Westlake, LA is seeking a Security Officer for Patrol Services at a chemical/petrochemical location. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

You will respond to alarms and incidents, control access by verifying credentials, and document observations. This full-time role requires TSA TWIC and HS diploma; 18+ or 21+ for armed roles, background checks and drug screen

Qualifications

• Must possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and carry out site-specific security procedures at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations per site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitors, and directing individuals as required.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
