Job summary

Allied Universal in Sulphur, LA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a chemical and petrochemical site. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining site security and compliance.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, TSA TWIC, high school diploma, and the ability to lift 20 pounds. The schedule is full-time with early morning shifts and weekend coverage.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and TSA-issued TWIC. • Mon: 05:45 AM - 01:15 PM
• Tue: 05:45 AM - 01:15 PM
• Wed: 05:45 AM - 01:15 PM
• Thur: 05:45 AM - 01:15 PM
• Fri: 05:45 AM - 03:45 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access‑control concerns to site leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
