Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital in Independence, MO. In this full-time role you will protect patients, staff and visitors, patrol premises, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents with professionalism and calm.

You will support a caring healthcare environment with clear communication and teamwork. Qualified candidates have at least one year of security experience, can meet hospital vaccination requirements, and are able to work in a hospital morgue.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with healthcare facility procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly according to site-specific reporting requirements.

Pay Rate: $25.33 / Hour

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
