Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Atlantic City is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment, respond to emergencies, and protect people and property through proactive intervention and quick decision-making.

Key duties include guest and employee service, emergency response, alarm and camera monitoring, gaming drops, and incident reporting. Training and compliance are required to ensure safety at the property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues arising with both guests and employees.
• Act as a first responder in emergencies, render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established reporting protocol.
• Monitor alarm systems and surveillance cameras.
• Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers.
• Act as a dispatcher to relay information to or from appropriate personnel using phones or two-way radios; write daily activity and incident reports.
• Assist in emergencies by securing the scene, advising on threats, summoning responders, and conducting evacuations.
• Maintain proficiency and attend mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training drills as a condition of employment.
