Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer GSOC Dispatcher for our Costa Mesa, CA site. You will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and support timely responses to protect clients and personnel.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $29.00 per hour. Candidates should have security experience, strong typing skills, and hold a high school diploma, with background checks and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Two years of security-related experience.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service to appropriate personnel and/or responders.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and access activity; maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site-specific procedures.
• Coordinate communications with onsite personnel and external responders as directed, helping to support orderly operations at a technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
