Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Flex Dispatch in Irvine, CA. The role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and an option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You will support residents and staff with access control, incident response, and daily security tasks, while maintaining detailed logs and reporting. The position requires at least 6 months of security experience, strong reliability, and the ability to work a Saturday shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs and reports for calls, incidents, and access transactions.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate contacts.
• Monitor cameras and alarms and escalate unusual activity.

As a Security Officer Flex Dispatch in Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 05:30 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and prioritize service calls, and coordinate responses by on‑site personnel to residential community incidents, maintenance concerns, and other property‑related requests.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for calls, incidents, visitor activity, key or access credential transactions, and communications with relevant personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and emergency services according to site procedures.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security‑related systems, escalating unusual activity or equipment concerns in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
