Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Dispatch Console Specialist in Milpitas, CA. You will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and respond to security needs while delivering outstanding customer service to employees and visitors.

You will maintain dispatch logs, support access control operations, and serve as a key point of contact. The role offers flexible scheduling with evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers while enforcing site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm notifications, and other communications; dispatch appropriate personnel and/or resources per procedures.
• Maintain dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation using site systems and tools.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and communicate updates to leadership, responders, and management.
• Monitor site activity through cameras and access-control systems; report unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm notifications, and other communications; dispatch appropriate personnel and/or resources according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation using site systems and communication tools.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate updates to site leadership, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal management as appropriate.
• Monitor site activity through available cameras, access‑control systems, and/or other tools; report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
