Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Dispatch Security Officer in Phoenix, AZ. You will coordinate communications, monitor alarms and access systems, and dispatch officers to incidents while delivering excellent customer service in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, cameras, and access-related systems from the dispatch center; document and relay pertinent information to appropriate personnel.
• Dispatch officers and/or emergency responders to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, responding in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communication records in accordance with site procedures.
• Support coordination of regular and random patrols around campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.

What You\'ll Do:
