Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer — Part Time Overnight in a Grocery Distribution Center located in Jessup, PA. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while providing excellent customer service to clients and employees.

This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth and site exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports and patrol documentation per procedures.

As a Security Officer Part Time Overnight in a Grocery Distribution Center Conducting Patrol Inspection in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience (C115)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security-related role.

• Demonstrated understanding of security protocols and procedures.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

• Familiarity with access control systems and badge issuance processes.

• Experience in managing and monitoring access to secure areas.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

• Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks.

• Ability to navigate software applications relevant to the position.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)

• Proven experience in a customer service role.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.

• How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

• Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
