Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a security officer in California to protect tenants, visitors and contractors at a commercial real estate site. The role requires patrolling interior and exterior areas, monitoring access points, and following site procedures to deter hazards and report incidents.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:
