Job summary

Allied Universal in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Full Time Security Officer to protect the site and its visitors. You will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, verify credentials, and enforce site procedures to deter incidents and ensure safety.

This role emphasizes customer service, incident reporting, and calm problem solving, with access to training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a national security company.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the logistics and distribution location, including buildings, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, policy violations, and/or potential hazards to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
