Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security position in Manassas, VA. The role pays $19.76 per hour and involves on-site access-screening, badge verification, and incident response at a technology location.

Ideal candidates will have basic computer skills, customer service experience, and access-control familiarity. A background check and drug screen are required, with licensing as applicable by state. 18+ (21+ for armed) and HS diploma eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or personal property in accordance with established site requirements.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry to restricted areas, escalating discrepancies through appropriate channels.
• Monitor access points and screening equipment, document activities, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting a professional environment at a technology location.

• Mon 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Tue 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Wed 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
