Per Mar Security Services is seeking entry level and experienced Security Officers to join our team in Blaine, Minnesota. The role focuses on loss prevention in a lumber yard setting, with duties including checking products, directing customers, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

We offer competitive pay at $19 per hour, plus strong benefits and opportunities for growth. This is a full-time position with 1st shift, weekends, and comprehensive training provided by the company

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle physical workload.

• Commitment to pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations.
• Conduct loss prevention checks and verify product against vehicle/purchase.
• Assist customers and provide directions as needed.
• Operate and understand basic security equipment and hand-held computers.
• Communicate effectively with the public and team members.
• Report facility issues and escalate high-risk situations.

Current Positions-

Tues-Sat: 2pm-10:30pm

$19/hr

Responsibilities: More of a loss prevention job than a security job. We check vehicles in and give directions as to where their product is in the lumber yard. When they come to exit, we check to make sure that the product that they purchased is in fact the product that they have in their vehicle or trailer. Loss Prevention Checking orders and counting purchased product Computers Hand held computers used, must have good understanding of computers Product Knowledge Generally, good knowledge of the building industry and construction is required. Walking Can be very busy in the summer months, a lot of walking required on Concrete is required. Communication A lot of interaction with the public, must be able to communicate well

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
