Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Check In in Milpitas, CA to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sectors. Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screening required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor entry records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access-control systems; document unusual activity, equipment issues, and security-related incidents in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
