Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Intake in Milpitas, CA. This full-time role focuses on managing entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining access-control logs to support a welcoming and secure environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of security experience, a guard card/license preferred, and comfort with computer or tablet usage. The position includes a night shift schedule and competitive pay of $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor security-related systems such as badge readers, cameras, and alarm panels, and report equipment issues or irregular activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
