Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Operations to serve clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. You will monitor and patrol, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service.

This role requires handling security procedures, documenting activities with our technology, and staying calm during incidents.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, visitor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by observing activity, communicating professionally, and reporting security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
