Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard Visitor Screening in Milpitas, CA to protect clients across tech environments. You will manage access, verify credentials, monitor sites, and deliver friendly customer service while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry points and use access-control systems to verify authorization, manage visitor registration, issue temporary credentials, and document access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain clear reports and logs of visitor activity, incidents, patrols, and access-control events.

What You'll Do:
