Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required and compliance with local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct employees, contractors, and guests per site requirements.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, including entry points and perimeters, to report unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and visitors to support a welcoming environment.

As an Access Control Security Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct employees, contractors, and guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned technology and telecommunications facilities, including business areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and visitors while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
