Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Houston, TX to safeguard clients at commercial properties. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete daily activity reports in line with site procedures. Minimum requirements include customer service experience, ability to use a computer or tablet, a guard card,

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and aid in emergency response.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
