Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard full-time unarmed patrol professional in Houston, TX. As part of a commercial real estate team, you will monitor and patrol areas, deter incidents, and support access control with strong customer service.

Position type is Full Time with a pay rate of $17.51 per hour. The role requires a minimum of two years in security, plus the ability to work a daytime schedule Monday through Friday with potential shift requirements.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents in reports.
• Communicate professionally with property personnel, tenants, visitors and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and maintenance-related concerns in required reports.
• Communicate professionally with property personnel, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
