Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Miami, FL to protect government facilities and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

You will provide courteous customer service, maintain a visible security presence, and perform patrols, access control, and incident response following site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and inquiries calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; document visitor activity and observations.
• Report maintenance concerns and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Screening in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting orderly operations, reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
