Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Veteran in Miami, FL. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a government location.

Eligibility includes a DD214 or Police Academy certificate, a background check, and a drug screening as required by law. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits.
• Police Academy or Corrections Academy certificate preferred.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by following site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to identify hazards and report observations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify access and maintain visitor/patrol/incident records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Support security operations by reporting policy violations and directing visitors as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Veteran in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while reporting observations and assisting visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site policies; and maintain accurate visitor, patrol, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with maintaining orderly operations by observing and reporting policy violations, directing visitors as appropriate, and supporting security-related procedures at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
