Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Miami, FL to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. You will perform unarmed security patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role requires strong communication and professionalism in a dynamic environment. As a full-time position, typical shifts run daytime and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements as per state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in retail areas, common spaces, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions and security incidents.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate effectively with staff and responders.

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a premier retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff while responding professionally to concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an upscale retail and mixed-use environment.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with property staff, retail personnel, visitors, and local responders while preparing accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
