Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspector in Reading, PA to protect clients across government and other sectors. You will monitor entrances, deter incidents, and provide courteous service while adhering to site procedures and reporting any security concerns.

This role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to use a computer or tablet.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

• Security Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115) prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government service location.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the facility, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
