Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a Harrisburg, PA location. You will monitor a retail site, provide customer service, and deter loss through visible patrols.

Responsibilities include conducting patrols, documenting incidents, and following site procedures while communicating with site leadership. This role offers a consistent schedule and pay rate of $20.55 per hour, with benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Services – Harrisburg, PA

As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and respond to routine security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $20.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:30 AM - 06:15 PM
• Tue 10:30 AM - 06:15 PM
• Wed 10:30 AM - 06:15 PM
• Thur 10:30 AM - 06:15 PM
• Fri 10:30 AM - 06:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store personnel, customers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor retail sales floor, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas for unusual activity, policy concerns, or potential loss-prevention issues.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
