Qualifications

• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally; coordinate with campus personnel or public service agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas; identify hazards and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and campus inquiries according to site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation for incidents and patrol observations.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.55 / Hour

Security Experience Requirement:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112).

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Fri 01:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and/or public service agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, building access procedures, and campus-related inquiries in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
