Job summary

You will monitor and patrol, maintain access control, respond to alarms, and deliver professional service while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications while providing professional support to the client location.

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Response in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support access control and alarm activity. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a collaborative team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
