Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) with driver duties and a focus on customer service. You will patrol campuses, maintain a visible security presence, and help create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. A valid driver's license is required to operate a vehicle on site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (required).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, access concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and requests for assistance while maintaining a professional presence in a university environment.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
