Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Part Time Armed Driver Patrol Response Security Officer. As an armed officer at an educational location, you will drive patrols, manage access points, respond to incidents, and document activities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence halls, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and coordinating with campus personnel and emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and assist with access-control procedures, visitor interactions, and reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation; communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:30 PM - 11:00 PMWed02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
