Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Emergency Patrol Driver in Burlington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and care.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate store personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
