Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) in Columbia, SC. You will serve clients across multiple industries, maintain a visible security presence, and provide exceptional customer service while patrolling and monitoring access points at a food and beverage distribution location.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background checks, and drug screening where permitted by law. This is a full-time, hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site policies and security procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
