Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by following site procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and access points.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and entry requirements per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and other critical events calmly and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols, incidents, and concerns and relay information to leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Response in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer-based tools to document activities. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and authorized entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
