• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to examine packages and shipments, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of packages, belongings, and vehicles while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and delivery activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
