Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Screening Risk Control to protect clients across logistics and distribution facilities. You will use screening equipment, verify credentials, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour. Shifts include Night and Day schedules in a logistics location, with a focus on safety, integrity, and teamwork within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories where allowed by law.
• Drug screen requirement may apply.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and shipments entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and shipping documentation; direct authorized individuals and vehicles to designated areas.
• Monitor screening equipment, access points, and surrounding activity; report suspicious items and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and conduct regular patrols of screening areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and shipments entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and shipping documentation; direct authorized individuals and vehicles to designated areas.
• Monitor screening equipment, access points, and surrounding activity; report suspicious items, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
