Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Screener in Chester, VA. The role involves monitoring access, screening people and belongings, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic tech/media environment.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site access requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate entry points or contacts.
• Monitor access points, screening equipment, and visitor activity; report suspicious activity, access concerns, or policy violations according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:
