Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Screening Officer in Chester, VA. You will screen personnel and visitors, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in line with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and delivery personnel at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items and follow established escalation protocols.
• Verify access credentials, maintain visitor screening records, and direct individuals to appropriate entry points or site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
