Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Perimeter Coverage in Katy, TX. You will monitor and safeguard clients in a technology-focused environment, maintain a visible security presence, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

You will follow site procedures, respond calmly to incidents, conduct regular unarmed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and document security events.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by providing clear directions, reporting maintenance or facility concerns, and assisting with security-related requests in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
