Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in Katy, TX. This full-time (unarmed) position requires patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes preparing incident reports and coordinating with site management. The schedule runs daytime, Monday through Friday, 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM, with a pathway to growth in a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report access‑control concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

As a Security Officer - Colonial Pkwy in Katy, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic technology-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
