Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer full-time unarmed patrol in Houston, TX. You will monitor and protect client sites, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver superior customer service to employees and visitors.

Role requires a minimum of one year in security, with preferred badge experience and license. Wage is $22.15 per hour. The position offers growth, benefits, and opportunities within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, exits, and observations in required reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel and the public, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Support in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $22.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
