Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security issues.
• Document incidents and patrols accurately and communicate information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
