As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Ithaca, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist customers, visitors, and employees with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and patrol findings to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
