Job summary

Allied Universal in Camillus, NY is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol a retail location, provide customer service, and deter security incidents. You will monitor sites, respond to concerns, and complete reports following site procedures.

The role requires at least 18 years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Guard Card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, helping to deter theft and other unwanted activity.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
